Graduate Student Orientation & Group Advising Sessions
Congratulations on your acceptance and decision to join the Weissman Graduate Studies community!
You will soon receive an email from Weissman Academic Advisement regarding your upcoming enrollment and details about New Graduate Student Orientation & Group Advising sessions. Please note that New Graduate Student Orientation is mandatory, and Group Advising sessions are strongly encouraged. Below you will find the dates for new student orientations as well as the group advising sessions. If you have any immediate questions please contact the Weissman Office of Graduate Studies and we would be happy to assist.
New Graduate Student Orientation Dates (Mandatory): Please note you will attend a virtual program specific orientation with new graduate students from your program, and also attend an in-person orientation for the entire Weissman graduate school. These dates are outlined below.

New Graduate Student Group Advising Dates (Attendance Strongly Encouraged): Ahead of orientation, these virtual group advising sessions will provide new students with the opportunity to learn more about their graduate academic journey here at Weissman, obtain additional informational regarding resources here at Weissman & Baruch, and also provide new students with the opportunity to ask immediate questions to be answered by Weissman Graduate Academic Advisement. These dates are outlined below.

Email for Baruch Students – All future communications from Baruch College and your program will be sent to your BaruchMail. It is vital that you obtain your username and activate your account.
CUNY Portal and Blackboard – To access Blackboard you must register a CUNY Portal account as soon as possible to ensure that an account is active prior to the start of classes. Blackboard is utilized by faculty to post information about your coursework (i.e., lecture notes, syllabi, exam notifications, etc.).
CUNYfirst – Access to you schedule and program plan, registration and much more.
