    Course Waiver Requests

    Enrollment Waiver Requests for Undergraduates

If you are requesting a prerequisite waiver or an overtally waiver for an undergraduate class, you must apply for these waivers by taking the following steps:

IMPORTANT: Please note that as of FALL 2025, students must have a minimum grade of a C in both PSY 1001 and PSY 2100 in order to register for PSY 3001. If you do not have a minimum grade in one or both of these prerequisites, please contact the Psychology Department at PsychDept@baruch.cuny.edu for more information about how to demonstrate mastery of the material and receive departmental permission/waiver for the course. Once you have obtained evidence of mastery, please fill out the form below. If you do not have this evidence when you are filling out the form, you will not be able to complete the form successfully.

For all other waiver requests (not involving PSY 3001), the process is the same as before.

    1. First contact the course instructor by email to request their permission for an overtally or prerequisite waiver. Click here to see instructor contact information.
    2. Then fill out the appropriate application form below, which requires you to copy and paste the email confirmation from the instructor as part of the waiver request:
