    Natural Sciences Minor

    Department of Natural Sciences

For the natural sciences minor, students take two natural sciences courses at the 3000 level or above, followed by a capstone course at the 4000 level. The capstone course must be taken at Baruch College. All 4000- level courses offered by the Department of Natural Sciences or an independent studies course may serve as the capstone.

The diversity of courses in the department allows the minor to be specialized to fit student needs. For example, students can complete science courses required for admission to medical school by doing a minor in natural sciences, or consider connections among various areas (e.g., biophysics, biomechanics) by completing classes in various disciplines. Note students with an interest in environmental issues may also choose to pursue a minor in Environmental Sustainability, while those specifically interested in chemistry or physics can pursue a minor in those areas. A faculty advisor will assist students with selecting appropriate minor and courses.
