As a Minor
Chinese is the most widely spoken language in the world. Knowledge of Chinese language and literature is increasingly more important for both professional careers and cultural understanding.
Language and literature conducted are conducted in Chinese, and additional literature are in English. The courses taught in a foreign language are designed to develop students’ command of modern languages for use orally and in writing, both in everyday experience and in the realm of literature and ideas.
Students choosing to minor in Chinese should select two courses at the 3000 level or above from the Chinese section of the department’s course offerings. Any 4000-level course in Chinese will serve as the capstone course for the Tier III Minor requirement.
